Welcome to the Catoosa County Library System Kid’s Page. At the Catoosa County Library, we are committed to providing the materials, programs and services that children, parents and care-givers will enjoy.
Easy Books: Written and illustrated for the early reader and listener, these books typically contain fewer words and may focus on early learning activities such as counting and colors.
Beginning Readers: These books allow beginning readers, both children and adults, to begin the formal process of reading and word recognition.
Fiction and Non-Fiction: Fiction books (in chapter form) and Non-Fiction books are available to those reading for pleasure and school. Popular series like Junie B. Jones, as well as biographies, are available in these collections.
Audio-Visual: We have audiobooks, read-alongs, movies (in DVD and VHS formats) and music CD’s available in our AV collection.
Magazines: Children’s magazines are available for both leisure reading in the library (current issue) and for check-out.
Reference Books: We have encyclopedia sets, as well as other reference materials (for library use only) that children can use to complete homework assignments.
Family storytimes are currently available on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM, Wednesdays at 11:00 AM and on alternate Saturdays. For more information about these programs, please click-on on our programming Calendar.
Field Trips: Schools, daycares and other groups can call (706-965-3600) to schedule visits to the library.
Outreach: Interested in hosting a storytime at your location? Contact the library (706-965-3600) for more information.
