Teen and Pre-Teen Programs

*Due to COVID-19, all programs have been suspended*

Every Month the Catoosa County Library offers these programs and more!. Please check the online calendar before heading to the library.

Catoosa Kid’s Council:  Catoosa Kids Council (CKC) is a group of teens and pre-teens (ages 10-18) who participate in and influence the functioning of the library, especially for programming and library materials.  It is a forum to have your opinions and suggestions heard and a great way to earn volunteer hours. Non-members are more than welcome to drop by and check it out at any time.

Day:  1st Wednesday

Time:  4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Dungeons and Dragons League:  Are you a bard or an elf? If you’ve ever wondered this, come join our Dungeons and Dragons league for teens/tweens. All skill ranges welcome. We will teach you how to play this interactive, role-playing, tabletop game.

Day:  every Monday

Time:  4:30 - 5:45 p.m.

Writing Club: Calling all wordsmiths! Join our writing club as we explore a new prompt, game, or writing genre each month. We offer supportive feedback, open ears to hear your stories, and peer groups to share with.

Day:  1st Tuesday of the month

Time:  4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Family Fun Jams

Saturdays. Once a month. No shushing allowed. We turn the library into a maze of craft tables, snacks, games, and other fun as we celebrate with this family-centered party.

Monthly Themed Party

Each month the teens and tweens will have their very own specially themed party or event. Look at our calendar for each month’s theme. Examples: February's "After Hours Game Night" and March's "Pi Day Celebration and Scavenger Hunt"

Special Workshops

These include the new "Adulting 101" course where teens will learn, through a series of workshops, about financial savvy, car care, and maintenance, resume building, and even how to select their first apartment. See the calendar and Facebook for more details.

Summer Reading Program
