Meet the new Tween Service Coordinator
Hello there! My name is Katie Boren and I am the new Tween Services Coordinator here at the library. You may recognize me already because I have been around the library before now. I was the Intern last summer of 2019. Since then, I have had other jobs, but I am thrilled to be back at the library full-time now! In addition to a new job, I am currently working on my Master’s of Science degree at UTK in Information Sciences. This is a fancy term for a Librarian Degree. After completing my Bachelor’s in English Literature from Tennessee Tech University and working in their library for some time, I decided that I wanted to become a Librarian!
As you may guess, I love to read. I also enjoy musical theatre, watching Netflix, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and hiking around Chattanooga with friends. I absolutely love giraffes! When it comes to books, some of my favorites are the Harry Potter series, The Chronicles of Narnia, the Caraval series, and The Great Gatsby. I enjoy discussing books, movies, and tv shows with people!
I am super pumped to be working with the Tweens at the library! I am looking forward to getting to know you all and what your interests are so that we can come up with some cool ideas for the library together. I have a couple of ideas but I am definitely going to need your help.
If you have any questions, suggestions or would like to contact me, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I can’t wait to meet you all and get started on new things!
“Dream up the kind of world you want to live in. Dream out loud, at high volume.”
