Ms. Shannon has been with the Catoosa County Library since 2016. She also worked in Libraries in Florida for over 10 years. Her background in Early Childhood & has experience as a former preschool teacher has been very beneficial. Today she is happy to be the Youth & Outreach Coordinator (head starts/daycare) for Catoosa County Library. You can find Ms. Shannon in the Children’s Department performing storytimes, decorating her department & creating fun activities for ages 0 to 8.
She enjoys bringing books to life & showing the kids & adults that reading can be fun. When she’s not at the library, she is most likely hanging out with her family, her fur babies, (Bella Luna & Cooper) watching true crime or reading a novel. Her love of butterflies is very evident as it gives her hope & strength. Ms. Shannon’s favorite book is Bark George by Jules Fieffer. Next time you come into the library, come say hi, she would love to meet you.
