Cate joined the library in 2025 as the Adult Services Coordinator. Before moving to Catoosa County, she was in Baton Rouge's Main Library, where she worked in adult reference and inter-library loan. Her degree is in History and International Studies, and she spent several years abroad in Ukraine and India. She has work experience in several fields, including medical offices and music education, but libraries are definitely her favorite. 

Cate enjoys developing programs for adults of all ages and offering community through library events and resources. Her goal is to provide people with opportunities for new interests, knowledge, and skills. 

As a child, Cate moved around a lot, and books became one of her constants in an often-evolving environment. Her current favorite genre is romance, but she has read a little bit of everything, from sci-fi to Westerns, from mysteries to fairy tales. Besides reading, she enjoys music, playing with her pets, and watching food content on YouTube.
