Meet the Young Adult Services Coordinator

Spencer is proud to be the Young Adult Services Coordinator here at the Catoosa County Library.

Spencer comes to the CCL family with a wealth of experience from his time as Youth Education Coordinator for the Dade County Library and Library Assistant here at Catoosa. He has a background in teaching and holds a master's degree in education from Union University as well as two bachelor's degrees from the University of Alabama.

Spencer believes it is essential to provide library services tailored to young people at this critical point in their lives.

He spends many afternoons working in the YA space at the library, putting on events, organizing clubs, and ordering books for patrons aged 9 - 18.

When Spencer isn't at the library, you are most likely to find him reading novels or writing short stories. He lives on part of a farm with sheep, chickens, cows, and his dog, Poppy.

If you spot him, feel free to say hey and give him a book recommendation or tell him what you're up to!
