Technology in the Library

The library strives to support the education and information needs of the community. Computers, laptops, internet access, printing, scanning, faxing, and Microsoft Office products are available for use by library visitors.
The library is not responsible for equipment brought into the building and staff cannot supply technical support.
Computers
There are 12 PCs and 10 laptops available for public use. Additionally, there are two card catalog computers that can be used to look up items in the library.
Computer sessions are 60 minutes in length. To use a computer, you must have either a library card in good standing or a guest pass. Guest passes are available at the Circulation Desk if you do not have a library card.
Computers turn off automatically and all printing jobs will be canceled 15 minutes before the library closes. For the library’s full Computer Use and Internet Access policy click here.
Internet Access
Wireless service is available 24 hours and day, seven days a week both inside and outside the library. No password is required to connect.
In compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act, we filter all Internet access computers.
Fax Services
Fax services are provided at the Circulation Desk, both sending and receiving. This is not a self-service fax machine. The cost to send or receive a fax is $1.00 per page.
Printing
Printing services are available from all public PCs or through Mobile Printing.
Black and white copies cost $0.25 and Color copies cost $0.75 per page.
A self-service printing station is available for your convenience in the computer area. If
you need to pay with a card or need assistance, please ask a staff member at the Circulation Desk.
The self-print station was made possible by the 2022 Library Technology Fund awarded to Georgia Public Library Services by the Georgia General Assembly.
Scanning Services
Scanning to email services are provided at the Circulation Desk or at the self-printing station at no charge.
